John in the spirit of Easter anticipation with the sounds of noble music. The suffering of the Crucifixion is replaced by hope, while the awakening nature and the lengthening days symbolically foreshadow the joy of biblical rebirth which was embodied by the orchestra\u2019s programme Prelude to the Resurrection. The programme included works by Olivier Messiaen, Camille Saint-Sa\u00ebns, Julie Giroux, Jean Sibelius and other composers. The orchestra\u2019s timbral palette was complemented by the majestic organ of the Church of Sts.
