Kosciu\u0161ka st. 11, Vilnius)<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The presentation of contemporary composers is one of the main objectives of the Lithuanian Symphonic Wind Orchestra, so the abundance of premieres is a characteristic of this festival as well. This year, we have chosen composers whose music is dominated by the sound of percussion instruments. The Lithuanian Symphonic Wind Orchestra will be joined by the well-known Giunter Percussion ensemble \u2013 one of the leading percussion groups in Lithuania, performing a diverse and challenging repertoire. Alongside the sound of percussion instruments, a colourful timbral and textural diversity will unfold, demonstrated by the featured works in the programme. Larsson Gothe\u2019s MacchinAria is a dizzying toccata of extreme concentration and virtuosity. The concert will also feature the premiere of a work by Lithuanian composer, Linas Rup\u0161laukis and one of Maurice Ravel\u2019s most famous works – Bolero<\/em>.
